Does anybody happen to know the relationship between gamma and ev,
i.e. how does gamma map to ev, or vice versa?

In other words, how would one express gamma as ev values (or "verse vica")?

I’m looking for an answer along the lines of: "x.x gamma equals +/-y.y ev".

In case the relationship is not linear, then either a formula or a table of values between, say, -2 ev to +2 in .1 increments would do.

I could be wrong but EV relates to exposure value
and Gamma is a display ratio value so there would be no relationship.

EV would relate to f-stops and exposure time
while gamma would relate to the linearity of color reproduction of a displayed image.

You’re probably right.

I was just going by the fact that both, modifying Gamma and changing f-stop, can make an image darker or brighter.

I’m quite aware how silly such a tenuous connection may sound, but it was a stab in the dark…
