All,

I have installed CS4 on Vista 64 and completed without any errors. I was able to bring up Bridge and go through it without any issues. However, when I try to run either CS4 or CS4 64 bit, it starts to load and says it has quit working, windows tries to find a fix and does not and shuts the program down. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tim

Try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

<http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.ef4a07f/1>

The location is different for Vista :

C:\Users\username\AppDate\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4

Note to moderator: needs updating!

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.

This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.

John,

Thanks for your post. I did try the process you recommended and it did not work. Any other thoughts you or anyone else may have? This problem only exists on Vista 64. I have Windows XP 32 it it loads fine there.
