I did one a couple of years ago and forgot how i did it.This photo is different and im not sure that it will work with out of frame.Anyone with any info or ideas on how to do it, I would love to have the info. Thanks

Explain what out of frame means. Does this mean transparent background, or something else?

I will try to explain. It is a frame around the photo with parts not all of the photo on top of the frame hanging out.I had in mind to do with the photo put a thin border or frame around the photo after cropping the photo and maybe leave the piano or part of the piano on top of the border or frame. It may not work with this photo.I did it before with a landscape photo which worked well and it was suprisingly quick process but i forgot how.There may not be enough elements in this photo to work with.

i’m still not really getting it. can you post a sample of the technique on another photo for us to see? that might help…

the frog on that page is a good example. i think you might be able to do something similar with that pic (above). maybe have the edge of the piano out of the frame…

There’s such a defined ground in this image. I think you need to have the frame match the ground (which I screwed up below; it’s close but no cigar). More of a pop-up photo really.

I was forced to use SMS-style text shorthand in a 100-character-limited response field on a site a few days ago.
