I apologize to many, if not most, of you who probably already practice this tip: install plugins into a dedicated folder.
The only reason I’m posting this rather obvious (at least to me) suggestion is that I’ve read about several instances of people "uninstalling" plugins or otherwise modifying them on here.
I’ve had this habit for many years now. It makes it easy to share them, makes upgrades/re-installations smoother and it is very simple to disable them for troubleshooting. If you disable the selection of the dedicated folder, you can compare performance. IF that solves your problem you can tilde them all out and re-enable them one by one to find the specific conflict.
