To what kind of drive are you trying to save? RAID? SATA drives with specific drivers? Network? Also: Do you have enough temporary disk space on your system drive?

what do you mean freeze when trying to save? do you see the save dialog where you type in a name? or is it freezing after you hit "ok" in the save dialog?
I am using a single SATA drive with 70 g of free space; also, I have 20 g of free space on system drive. The save dialog flashes for an instant, not allowing to save. I can use ctrl+s to save the file, but it overwries the file of course.
"Save for web and devices" also works, but tranparency and layer styles do not look good at all.

try to save again. this time after it flashes, hit ESC. then try it again… that should bring the dialog back.

If this works, why is it happening? I am atech and a client has 6 Photoshop CS3 machines, 2 of them are doing this freeze while save thing. I’ll have them try the ESC trick, but if that works, what does it mean and how can we fix it? I see this in the event viewer.

if it works, it means the dialog drifted off screen. esc is the same as clicking cancel. why does it happen? dunno. usually something to do with changing resolution or switching from multi to single monitor, but now always. worth the 10 seconds to try though.

Depending on which website your believe, csfppeui.dll could be a printer driver, or a virus.
cool beans scott. scan for viruses, but i’m guessing that that dll just happened to be loaded when you ended the ps task.
