trace bitmapping on photoshop, si it possible?

On flash often I see trace bitmap to simplfy and smooth down images and avoid pixelation, can this type of act happen within photoshop?

I don’t exactly understand what you mean. Vector paths used as masks/ mattes in Flash? Or normal tracing inside PS? Both scenarios are possible by converting selections to clipping paths and vice versa…
