I am running PS 7 on WinXP SP1. Photoshop won’t load under one of my profiles. It works fine under the other profiles. It Launches, shows the splash screen, then exit. Anyone have any ideas? Also, The update won’t run because it says it can’t find the application. Thoughts?

Trash your prefs. Hold down the ctrl+shift+alt keys when you launch PS. A question that I can’t remember will pop up…something to the order of "do you want to reset the PS settings file." Say yes.

As for the update not finding the application, please see the FAQs. You need to contact Adobe.

Eric,

By profiles, are you referring to user accounts? If so, check to see if the problem account has either Power User or Administrative rights…I believe one of those acess groups must be used to run Photoshop.
