make a nice floor refleciton out of the picture of the car

It is an optical impossibility because the reflected floor is not present in the image of the car on the street. You would have to make a picture of the underside of the car, or just make a shadow effect.

Not very realistic!

The way these were done was to cut apart the wheels and bottoms of the cars and use distort/sheer/perspective transform on those parts to get them to fit underneath. On the Hummer it really falls apart (see the left wheel is all stretched, and the vehicle seems to have an underside that ends just after the foot plate).

It would be impossible to do it perfectly, as the reflection of the car in the floor does not provide the same point-of-view as the original picture. No amount of flipping or distortion can produce the same result as a real reflection. You would need to shoot the car standing on a real reflecting service to get a real reflection. A real reflection is looking up from underneath, which is a different point-of-view from your view looking down from above. You can’t see the underside of the car in the main view.

You can simulate it to a certain extent if the reflection doesn’t have to be too distinct so you don’t see much detail in the reflection.

Short of using a 3D modeling program, that is about the best you can do.

Hi,
Go to Adobe Exchange. Look under After Effects. Search for Picture Reflection. This might help you, or maybe not!
