Here is the original:

Then I lightened it with Shadow\Highlite:

Now I notice the photo has some weird texture when enlarged. I don’t think it’s grainey, but I don’t know how to describe it.
In CS2, I have tried Despeckle, Dust & Scratches, Reduce Noise, Guasian and Surface Blur.
Any other advice?
