Moving only one selection

Hi
Is there a method of moving just one selection area when there are multiple selections on a layer. I want to select 2 round objects on a layer using the marquee tool, I can move the first selection into the correct position but when I’ve put in the second selection and try to adjust its postiton both the selection areas move.

go ahead and make your first selection, then press ‘q’ to enter quick mask mode. here make your second selection, move into place, and then fill it, the press ‘q’ to get out of quick mask mode and there ya go
