I have photoshop cs4 extend for vista 64. When I update photoshop every thing was good. Then I open photoshop cs4, not only did the update made my photoshop cs4 extend to photoshop cs4 it is also telling me there is something wrong with my graphic card. I updated photoshop before but the last patch did something to my app. Has anyone have this problem? I was thinking about reinstalling photoshop cs4 extend but with all my add-on’s and preferences it is going to be a hassle to reinstall the programs. Is there any way to fix this just in case it happens again when I try to update.

but the last patch did something to my app. Has anyone have this problem?

Could you define the problem in more detail? Then others can tell you if they have the same problem.

Sorry I mean update. The problem is when I update my photoshop cs4 extend. Once it is updated, I open photoshop cs4 it is updated but my photoshop is not a extend anymore it is just photoshop cs4.

sounds like a licensing issue……maybe.

The OP probably saw the ACR update and thought it was Photoshop. I know several people that made that mistake.

I updated photoshop buy going to help>updates. Should I just update photoshop manually if this is going to happen again. Sorry for confusing everyone, the update was a couple of weeks ago. I just finally notice my photoshop cs4 extend was not extended because I wanted to make a photo 3D yesterday. I will reinstall the program again. I just want to know if I update photoshop cs4 extend again, will it make it just photshop cs4?

gosh mine has the most recent Adobe update (whatever they might be), and my photoshop is still extended.

What does ‘Help -> About Photoshop’ say ?

The general advice in this forum is not to use automatic updates because the Updater (like the Installers) is broken.

If you can’t be bothered to get the updates from the Adobe site and install them yourself, at least look at what is being suggested for update and understand what it is updating!

A lot of updates are for features a lot of people don’t use.

When in doubt, find out what it is first.

Thanks for the heads up I did not know the updater is like that. I know the installer is kind of broken. I have to open the cd and look for the installer to make it work. Going for manual update for now on, till the fix the problem.
