Perhaps I’m just lucky…I have a Sony Vaio laptop running vista home premium with 2 gigs of ram , 32 bit and a not quite top of the line but almost (1 year ago mind you) NVIDIA video card…I needed to upgrade from CS3 for my coursework and I was running the Master Collection with excellent results ( a bit of lag on occasion with video to be honest…but not even to the point of irritation) I was very leary after ready some of the forums here, but I was eligible to upgrade for a good price so I crossed my fingers and bit the bullet…I am SO glad that I did…I have nothing but good things to say about the ENTIRE suite…Photoshop runs beautifully for me, and I generally have it running with another program or two in the suite Flash and/or Dreamweaver and maybe even the Bridge (that I haven’t quite bonded with but it’s 100% my issue I will admit)…I’m not a photographer but I am a very picky designer and I expect good preformance…that’s exactly what I’m getting with CS4 and I like this version of Photoshop better than CS2 or CS3. I did my homework…a clean install on a freshly reformatted machine, drivers up to date and all junk removed. Count me satisfied…make that thrilled…with Photoshop CS4 and all that is Adobe…(I know it isn’t the place, but FlashCS4 and DreamweaverCS4 are the other two equally awesome new programs I use daily with excellent results. I hope soon even the folks having issues will have the solutions that allow them to enjoy their work on the new software as much as I do…The creative possibilities and workflow improvement potential is unlimited…
