Paragraph return not working.

I am using the following –

Trial Version of Photoshop CS4 Extended
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5800(2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache) 3 GB DDR2
240 GB free disk space
Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD

The problem I have is when I hit "enter" or "shift+enter" to create a new line of text it doesn’t work. Instead it closes the text box. A solution would be greatly appreciated.

On a laptop? Photoshop uses the main and keypad enters for different purposes. There should be a way (with a FN key, maybe) for you to get the different enter key.

Thank You – I am on a laptop & FN key does work. At least a work around for now.

It is annoying to have to use it this way. My old laptop w/ cs2 and windows xp didn’t have this issue & cs4 installed on my husbands laptop (also xp) worked fine. How can I change it to work normally on my system?

right. what john said. it’s not a "workaround". it’s the way your laptop is designed to work.
