Animated GIFs In CS3?

I need to edit some animated gifs. I can edit them in Elements 5, but have not figured out how to do that in CS3. Is it possible, and if yes, how please?

file> import>video frames to layers. then type "*.gif" (no quotes) in the filename and you should be able to open them. i think it was an oversight on adobe’s part when they merged imageready into ps.
