Hi people, I have a problem.
After I formatted the pc I reinstalled Adobe Photoshop CS3 but I can’t see the color in the real way.
I post a link to a screenshot of my Photoshop that explain more than my words: <http://i43.tinypic.com/24yx0rq.jpg>

As you can see, even if the color choosen is a gray it seems more red. But when I save a file the colour seems to be normal.

I tried every combination in colour settings but nothing change.

I have an ATI Radeon X700 (I don’t know if you need to know that 🙂 )

Can you help me?

PS: I’m sorry if my English is not so good 🙂

Antonio,

Your screenshot looks fine to me. I think you should check your video settings. Go Right-click on the desktop > properties > Settings.

Check to see if you have the highest colour depth (Millions of colours) and not 256 colours or so.

The gray in the screenshot also appear OK to me. Perhaps you have a corrupt monitor profile. Recalibrate.

Uhm I saw the screenshot also on my father laptop and it seems clear. But I don’t know how to change settings.
The computer setting (desktop properties) are normal because I can see colour normally in every program except for photoshop.
I tried also to reinstall again the program but nothing change.

Antonio,

Compare the settings of the two computers. What are they? 32 bit?

I added an other color profile to my monitor settings

It should not be just any profile but a monitor profile generated with a hardware calibration device.
