I have created a full 20 page web site with PhotoShop/ImageReady. I want to maintain the site as PSD files and not have to edit or modify the HTML files that are produced. This way I will not over-write modified HTML files by updating the PSD and then saving the optimised HTML.

Basically I would like to add some style sheet tags (STYLE) to the HEAD section of the HTML. Can I do this in ImageReady? Is there any way of either (1) embedding a file into the HTML produced by ImageReady or a preference/option to do this?

Can I do this in ImageReady?

nope. you need an html editor or wordpad and some html knowledge.

Dave,

Thanks for the reply, this does seem a rather obvious requirement since the alternative of saving optimised HTML then having to re-edit in the modifications seems to be unnecessarily labour intensive. I will have to raise this as a requirement with Adobe! Thanks for your help.

Thanks

no problem apl. there’s a feature request section, but i wouldn’t hold my breath. IR is used more to generate code that can be cut and pasted into an html editor rather than do all the html itself. I agree it could use some refreshing, and more flexability, but much of what you’re requesting can be done in any decent html app. For example, have you checked out Adobe GoLive?
