Hi. New guy on the board here so here is my first question. I’m using CS3 and I am working on a picture and have quite a few paths already. If I understand it correctly, I make the path and then load it as a selection in the layers window and work with it there. Do I have to save the paths I’ve made or can I delete them now that they are in layers?

Thanks, Glenn

Path objects are independent of layers.

When you make a path, look at the Paths Panel (Palette). You will see it listed as Work Path.

Re-name it to save it. Go ahead and save them within the document if you want to; they barely add to file size at all.
