brush tool… alt click 2 sample color goes to background instead

I vacuumed my keyboard while in photoshop… nice move, I know. Anyway I got almost everything back to normal execpt…

while using the brush tool and I alt click to cahnge the color to the new sampled color but it now goes to the background color instead of foreground color. It also goes to background color when I use the regular peye dropper.

I can seem to find out how to shut that off or change it so it goes to the foreground instead of background.

I know HOW to switch from background to foreground..
but that is not the normal behavior of this tool.

By default it goes to the foreground color but for me it is going to the background.
