Lost gradients downloaded from Adobe Photoshop Exchange

Windows XP Pro SP3 Photoshop CS3.
I downloaded a set of gradients from Photoshop Exchange. The downloaded gradient file appears in Windows Explorer …presets > gradients folder. However, I cannot access the in the Photoshop gradient editor. The file does not appear in the pull-down menu of the gradient editor nor does it appear in the list when I click on the gradient editor load button. How do I access the downloaded gradients?

If the files are on your disk, you can access them by opening them.

If that doesn’t work – then I suspect the files are still compressed and you need to decompress them.

Thanks. The Photoshop Exchange gradients have been where they belong all the time. I inadvertently changed their file name and saved them under another file name I didn’t recognize.
