I’m using Photoshop CS4 on Windows XP, printing to an Epson Photo Stylus R200 printer. I’ve tried various settings: Photoshop manages color, Printer manages color, Photo, Photo and Text, Text, and so forth. No matter which settings I try, the colors turn out too dark and do not match or even come close to the colors on my monitor.
I tried printing the exact same file using Photoshop CS3, with the Photoshop manages color setting, and the print turned out great.
What has changed in Photoshop CS4 that is different from CS3 — and more importantly, how can I make Photoshop CS4 print colors correctly?
