CS4 Summary requested please

Windows XP Pro SP3, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo, CPU , 2.75GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT, C Drive 2 x 250GB (Raid1), D 1 x 250GB, 2 x 500GB EHD’s.

I’m considering the upgrade from CS3 > CS4 and would request some input as to the following questions:

1. Is my system as stated above up to the job?

2. A summary of the major known issues (bugs) at this time or has there been a subsequent update of the application following release that addresses most issues.

1 & 2: in theory yes, but the graphics card could be a problem. Some sub-versions of 8800 cards have been known to cause issues.

3. No problem at all, CS4 will not touch anything CS3.

Would you kindly elaborate further on the possible graphic card problem. This Adobe thread < http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb 405711&sliceId=1> appears to indicate that my NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT graphic card was one of those tested prior to CS4’s release.
