a Problem with Transparency

Hey, I have a problem. When I’m trying to save me document as an half-transparent object, it makes it full solid. SS:

The pixels in GIF-compressed images can only display in one of two ways—either fully trasparent or fully opaque.

For partial transparency, save your images as PNG24.

What is the file going to be used for? For web png will give you translucence. For print you can use psd or tiff.
