I’m having problems moving shapes in Photoshop. I’m using CS4, fully updated, running under Windows XP, SP3. I’ve created a logo out of shapes. The entire document consists of approximately 30 shapes. I’ve grouped them in a logical order, aka the 3 shapes that make up the letter ‘a’ are grouped together in a group named ‘A’. Then those groups are grouped together to make up the whole word, aka ‘Architects’. I did this so I could move or transform all of the shapes for each word at one time. Now when I go to move them the shapes just will not move. The layers are not locked-none of the locks are on including the move lock-and when I attempt to move the shapes the ‘move’ appears in the history palette as if the move had actually occurred. The only way I can seem to make anything move is by doing a transform (ctrl+t) to the individual shapes and then move them during the transform. Anybody have any ideas on how this happens and how I can go back to making this work normally? There is no linking on any of the layers. Oh, also I’ve tried this on more than one computer with the same result as well as attempting to open this document in PS 7 to the same effect.
