I’ve tried creating info in all types of fields – descriptions, IPTC data and nothing.

How do I get captions for each photo underneath when clicking through the gallery or in a slideshow?

Thanks!!

Have you ticked the "Show File Names" box in the Appearance tab? Also, you need to click on "Refresh Preview" or "Preview in Browser" to see any changes.

Yeah, and I don’t see a ‘show file names’ box on the templates I’ve looked at.

What I did was go into the group.xml file and I could find the TITLE tags and changed those to what I wanted for my caption.

Still seems somethings not right, since I had to manually add them.

I think I was getting confused with Lightroom, It’s easier to add captions in that. Let us know how you get on!

As far as I know you can only show certain Metadata fields. You would have to enter a name for each file by hand under say "Description".

If there is an easier way, I’d like to know it too!
