Hi!
I have photoshop 7, and i don’t know how I can paint copying. I mean: How can i mark a position, and than paint, so that the area, that i paint, is overwritten with the position i marked?

Thanks for helping me,
Sebastian

I’m not sure I truly understand your question. Let me restate what I think it is before answering.

I believe you wish to know how to paint an area using a color that exists somewhere else in the image.

In that case use the eyedropper tool to set the foreground color to be the same as the color you want. You can then use the paintbrush to paint this color where you want to.

Is it possible you’re looking for the clone brush?

Use Layers.

Open the image you want to use.
Open up Photoshop’s Window – Layers

In the Layers dialog box click New Layer (just left of the Garbage). A new layer will appear over the background. Add any colour to brush pattern to this Layer. Enlarge or Reduce as you like.

Save the image as a PSD if you wish to keep the original and layer. Flatten Image and save as a low compression jpeg if the image is complete.

Let me know how it goes.
