Send as attachment. Click browse and go to folder where picture is stored and click open.

As Curt implies, you can’t do it "from Photoshop".

The pictures are on your hard drive, you attach them from there.

Some consumer level programs offer a way to do it as part of the program.

On a Mac, you can most certainly do it from Bridge 3.x ("CS4"). Works like a charm.

In Bridge, you install the Adobe Bridge CS4 E-Mailer script (provided by Adobe Bridge Engineer David Franzen) and make sure the corresponding box is checked in Bridge > Preferences > Startup Scripts.

You then access it through the Output Module in Bridge:

I don’t see why that functionality would not be included in the Windows version of Bridge. 😉

That’s true and there is a version for Windows but it’s a lot of fiddling about compared to writing the email first and just attaching the image files.

Also if you right click on an image file in Windows Explorer you will see under Send to… the sub-item Mail Recipient. This option also offers to downsize a copy of the image if it’s to big for normal email.

We all know how annoying it is to get emails from our friends with pictures three times the size of the monitor. In these days of 12 Megapixel point-and-shoot cameras that’s not unusual.

I have written a script for Bridge but it does require that you are using Windows and Outlook. <http://www.ps-scripts.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2291>

Sounds much more user-friendly than having to find, download and install a script, turn it on in preferences and start up Bridge, just to accomplish what’s already built-in on windows with a simple right-click… right Ramón? 😉

It also depends on what type of document you are mailing as the view of certain types of files do not show in Window Explorer without doing mods and installing software.

I think having an email option in Bridge is a smashing idea thanks
many times I edit in Bridge and Explorer has no way of seeing those edits unless you put the files in separate folders

I use the Explorer functions too- for the OP just remember to send jpg or other small files
check your file formats and sizes before sending, (use save for web) putting your images in a PDF is also a good option for emailing
