Run multiple batches in a row

I have a folder of 1,500 large images each of which has to be resized to 5 different sizes AND the filename needs to be appended appropriately. I have to re-run this process once a week.

For example:

VideoStill.jpg needs to be resized and renamed to:
VideoStill-800w.jpg [800 pixels wide]
VideoStill-600w.jpg [600 pixels wide]
Etc.

I have created actions for each resizing. And I can run a batch of each action. But in order to get what I need, I have to run 5 batches each time–one for each action.

Is there a way to run 5 different batches automatically? Or is there a better way to do this entirely?

Any advice much appreciated.

You can reference other actions in actions…

Yes, but I need to use the naming convention I mentioned above. And actions (from what I can tell) don’t allow you to specify file naming logic such as [original filename] + [800w] + [.jpg]. It seems to me that this requires batches.

You should be able to place all your resized images in separate folders then use Bridge to rename all the images in each folder as you require.

Hi Michael, it’s possible to achieve this with a script. Contact me by email for more info.
