Downloaded images from my new Canon 50d. New Photo Shop CS4. I understood that the dng converter was built into CS4. However it did not convert raw images to .dng on download even tho I asked it to. Can you convert to .dng once they are downloaded and if so, how?

In the "Get photos from camera" dialog in Bridge there is a checkbox to "Convert to DNG". If that didn’t do it there’s something wrong.

Once on disk, the files can be converted with the free DNG converter that you can download here:

I’m using winxp pro. I did upgrade to the latest cr plug-in which supports the camera. I read on another thread with a similar problem about clearing the cache and redoing it. I did that and it allowed the previews to come up in Bridge. I think that I probably did something wrong on the download as Free suggests. I will try again after I’ve shot more images. I will download the dng converter. I used to have it but can’t find it now. Thanks.
