I have PS CS2 and ever since I installed it I get the message that "ordinal95 could not be located in CoolType.dll".

The program runs just fine, it’s simply annoying to have to click through it each time I open my CS2, which I love.

Is there any place to find a corrections for this? I’ve been unemployed for nearly a year now and can’t afford to upgrade to CS3, much less CS4.

As an adjunct, I also get a message about being unable to load the Fast Core module because it doesn’t work in my version of PS. I run a Windows XP Pro – 64bit system with a Quad Core processor so I don’t understand this one either.

Thanks for any help.

did you copy over or link to (through 2ndary plug in locations in preferences) plugins from an old version?

OR did you install right over an old version rather into a new folder?

The fastcore error means you copied a plugin from an older version of Photoshop — and extensions are very version specific. You should not copy the Photoshop supplied plugins from version to version, only your third party plugins.

As for the cooltype error – that sounds like you may have some damaged libraries or system files. But I haven’t seen that specific error since early pirated versions of Windows XP (that had outdated runtime files).
