I am using PS CS3. I have a drawing of a face I made, then scanned and imported into PS. However, it’s ruined, as the dimensions are distorted. the drawing appears flattened vertically perhaps 25 %, and stretched horizontally. I need it to be absolute 1:1. I have a 22in monitor, so CS3 can easily fit a 1:1 image into its view area. How to fix this without spending hours adjusting height/width pixels?

Actually I don’t think it is PS that is at fault, as when I open the JPEG with Windows fax and view utility, it looks squashed down there, too.

Sounds to me that your screen resolution is wrong. Set it to the native resolution.
