I an just starting with Raw.When opening my images in CS3 Given 30 images taken all on same day ,using my Canon 5D and on same CF card.Not all images open.Say about 50%,the rest have message saying "Wrong kind of document".Can anyone explain and offer advice to solve.

Which camera exactly? 5D or 5D mkII? And what is the version of your Camera Raw plug-in? Yo can find out with Help > About Plug-in, in Photoshop.

Hi Rob,I use the 5D not the Mk 2.Will check Cameraaw plug in and revert. barry

You might want to consider using Canon’s own RAW software to do the initial editing. I have a Nikon D300 and Nikon’s own software (Capture NX) definitely does something that ACR does not! For example it completely corrects chromatic aberration automatically. I just get an altogether cleaner look with Capture NX, from which I then export the file as a TIFF to work on in PS. OTOH ACR opens the file much faster.

Probably not quite the thing to say in an Adobe forum 🙂
