Ever since installing Photoshop CS4, anything printed from within Photoshop comes out on paper looking halftoned (even though it looks normal onscreen). So far, I have been unable to discover the source of this problem to fix it.

No other program (including previous version of Photoshop) has this problem.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Below I have included scans of an image printed from Photoshop CS4 and then from Illustrator CS4.

To explain, I drew something fast in Autodesk Sketchbook, pasted that it into Photoshop, printed from within Photoshop, and it came out looking halftoned. I then saved the .PSD from within Photoshop, placed that into Illustrator CS4 and printed the same image from within Illustrator. It printed exactly as it looked onscreen. I then scanned both results and placed them side-by-side to show what I’m getting from the printer.

Check the screen button in the output tab of the print dialogue menu. Make sure "printer’s default" is checked.

Photoshop has no control over the halftoning of your print – that is entirely up to the printer driver and the settings you gave it.
