I’ve can’t get photoshop or any adobe product for that matter to print above 42" (106.68cm) wide. I am using the CS3 Suite.

I’m using HP 5500 60" printers, although the issue is not with the printer, or the driver for that matter. If I print preview a job that is 42" wide, there are no issues & the whole image shows up on the preview pane. As soon as I jump above 42", the preview cuts to a smaller A4 size preview [8.5inch x 11 inch] and it will only print in A4 size.

I just wanted to know if Photoshop can print above 42" wide or if there are any size limitations.

There is a size restriction. I think it is 30,000 pixels in either direction … at 300 dpi that is 100 inches, so it shouldn’t be a problem unless you have set a higher resolution.

However, it is more likely that the restriction will be in the printer drivers, which are created by HP, not Adobe. Check their website to see if any newer versions are available, and their help section to see if there is some trick you need to play with the printer to get full width.

Don, Cheer for the advise. I am only printing 150dpi, so I won’t have reached my pixel limit, so it can’t be that. I have the latest drivers and firmware from HP installed, and still I can only print up to 42" wide..

Check with HP then. They wrote the driver.
