Illustrator CS2 – drawing on floorplans in a style similar to CAD line quality

I’m trying to figure out how to trace over floor plans such that the line quality is sketchy similar to architectural traces where the lines cross over each other, etc. Is there a way to edit a brush stroke where the path end extends beyond the box corner. Am I saying this correctly? Thanks, Sharon

Wrong forum. But to save you the trouble: No, neither PS nor AI provide an overshoot feature for path ends. something similar was discussed last week in the AI forum and nobody came up with an answer, so it seems there isn’t even a script for this. The best you can get is buying the CADTools plug-in for AI and make use of its measure drawing features to get a semi-automated way of doing theis.
