45 degrees, is there an alt?

when you hold shift and drag a line it automatically makes a 45 degree angle, can you change this to a different angle, much the way you can in illustrator?

It depends on what kind of line it is, but in general, use Ctrl-T for Transform, look in the options bar at the top; you can dial in any value you want for angle.
