Photoshop allows me to add in-focus backgrounds to macros, even distant ones. Have uploaded a few examples which I think work quite well
‘AFTER THE RAIN’ and ‘CALLA LILY’ at http://www.oz-greetings.com.au/photo ‘BIRD OF PARADISE’ at http://www.oz-greetings.com.au/photo/40 I used the Magnetic Lasso tool. It drove me insane – until I got a wireless mouse. Makes it MUCH easier.

Nice work there. I what do you mean about adding in focus background? Has photoshop previously rejected your backgrounds because they were not in focus?
