I want to paint a photo of a room.
When i use the magic Wand it only selects a section of the wall.
How can i select the whole wall around the furniture ?

not certain what you are referring to- but I think it may this- when
you select the magic wand there will appear a setting called "tolerance"
up on the toolbar. Changing the "tolerance" setting will make the magic
wand more or less sensitive to changes in shading of pixels within your
color setting. So raising the tolerance will help the wand to select
sections of the wall that are the same color (e.g. red) but might be
shaded slightly and so are a darker red. Lowering the tolerance will
increase the selectivity to a tighter range of Red tones.

so if the magic wand is selecting both the wall and the furniture you
would need to decrease the tolerance to maybe "10". Then only the beige
wall will be selected. Play with the tolerance number until the results
are what you want. Also pick "contiguous" on the toolbar, that way any
beige in the chair doesn't get selected too.
