Hi peeps

i’m sure i used to do this but have forgotten how .

Have some large bold text on a layer, make a selection of that text on a new layer

any help please

In the layers pallet, right click on the layer’s icon (not the text to the right of it) and click on ‘Select Pixels’.

In the layers pallet, right click on the layer’s icon (not the text to the right of it) and click on ‘Select Pixels’.

Alternatively: Ctrl click the layer icon, but note that both methods do not put the text on a new layer. You have to rasterrize the text first.
