I just opened a PSD file in PS7 that seems to have color-coded layers. They appear to be grouped together by color (the color being visible in the lock/link columns on the left of the layer name).

How do you do that? I’ve been using PS for years and never knew you could do this.

PS: I am not referring to layer sets. These color codes seem independant of layer sets.

Thanks!

Don’t know about 7 but in 6 when you make a new layer there is box in the requester that says colour, you choose the colour and there you go…. "Jon Yeager" wrote in message

If you want to add the colors layers later just right click the layer and select layer properties.
