Hi all,
I asked the IT techi at the school where I teach to build me a powerful computer to run Photoshop CS5 Extended. I’ve just received the new computer and I’ve got to say… it flies!! I did some research beforehand, but I left it up to him to choose some of the parts. For those who are interested, or aren’t sure what to get I offer the following info on my system:
Intel Core I7 860 2.8 Ghz Quad core
Asus P7P5D-LE core I7 motherboard
8Gb DDR3 1600
64Gb Kingston SSD
2 TB WD SATA HDD
Nvidia GTS 240 Asus
Antec Earthwatts 650 watt PSU
DVD+RW Drive
Windows 7 Home premium
I’m still using my LG Studioworks crt monitor, as photos look great on it, but if and when it dies I may get a Dell Ultrasharpen later on (unless you can recommend a similar/better monitor for around $AUD300
Paul:)
