Welcome to the group. The first rule is probably to be patient, as David says, and not respond to people who may be interested in things other than asking or answering questions.

There are a mixture of people who post here. This group is sort of an odd corner of the Internet at this point. There are still a few of us who still try to provide interesting and useful information, usually in response to questions.

The really active groups, with hundreds of poses per day, etc, are web forums. For example, www.dgrin.com, www.retouchpro.com, and other sites. Photoshop is discussed on the adobe site. Here’s a page with links to quite a variety of Photoshop discussion forums:

thanks for the info. Those are some gigantic forums. It’s kind of overwhelming. I’m looking for a small group, or at least a group of people who love graphics, pass along ideas, share what they’ve created and maybe have some interesting challenges… you know … friendly group of people, but not overwhelming.
