question on slices and image maps

hi, i am trying to go further than basic HTML and use photoshop and IMageready to make something pretty…. BUt the image im trying to make has a series of menu items within it that I wanted to make slices/hotspots linked to a place in the center of the image. Like with regular target=thingie, I wanted each hotspot to target a space in the middle of the image. Is there a way to make a slice with the name "thingie" for example that will be where each of those hotspots are linked? or can I put an I frame/ div frame in the middle of an image mapped or sliced image?

You can only link to either an anchor or to a URL in HTML. Is you page within a frameset? Do you mean can you target another frame within the frameset document?
