I’m using Photoshop 7 and a Graphire 3 that I just got. When I try to draw a curvy line it draws how I want until I get to the edge of the canvas, then it turns horizontal for a couple of pixels then draws parallel to the edge at the edge. It’s really annoying. Is there some option or something I need to uncheck?

Don’t believe everything you see on Usenet. If you look at the message headers, the poster uses a Mac. PSP doesn’t have a MAC version, so he knows nothing about PSP’s use.
Chances are quite good this is yet another sock-puppet posting by none other than MikeC himself.
Filter updating time.

On a PC, go to Start>Controls>Wacom tablet and make the changes you want. It would also help to read the help files that came on the CD.

I cant find any settings on that screen that apply… the problem happens no matter where the photoshop document canvas is on the screen or how big the window is. Here is a picture of what I mean:

Check the area you’ve set to use as the tablet. Also check whether you’ve got it set a 1:1 or as a mouse.
Also check Wacom’s site to make sure you have the latest drivers. Download the latest and install it.

Another thing you might try: if you have added Photoshop to the Applications with custom settings list in the Wacom control panel, remove it and see if that helps.

Sounds to me like you need to change the settings to mouse from screen, I am on my work computer so I can’t remember the correct name of the setting.

Turn off snap under the "view" menu. That might do the trick.
