I am trying to create an action that will run a Black and White conversion (I already have the B&W conversion action), save the Black and White converted image file to the same folder "As a Copy".

I have created an action that opens the file>selects the B&W conversion>Converts to B&W>I record a "Save As", "Copy">Select the destination>(this is where the problem starts) Close.

When I select close, the actions wants to know if I want to save the origional file, I select No, because I do not want to change the origional. I only want to save the Changed Copy. Because I select "No" to save to the origional, it does not save either.
I am just trying to take a group of color images and make a duplicate if each image in Black and White so that I have a color and B&W with the B&W image having the corresponding file name, but with BW attached.

I have done this before but I cannot remember how.

I would really appreciate anyones help.

Thanks,
Dennis

I never include a "CLOSE" in my actions – I can’t really see a reason for it. So you might try your action without the "close", and see how that works.

When processing multiple images, either via folder or all open images, the Batch dialog will close the images (if a destination is chosen).
