Help!
This has me stumped. Both CS2 and Painter 11 have a problem with the color red. On CS2, red will only show as orange on both photos and the color wheel. On Painter, red shows correctly on the color wheel and all palettes but not on the canvas. On both, the eyedropper will indicate the orange is actually a red. On both, RGB dialed in red comes out as an orange color. All other colors work as expected and Red shows quite nicely on other programs including Microsoft Paint.
The big key, I suspect, is that whatever it is affects both Photoshop and Painter. Since there is a much deeper level of knowledge available on Photoshop, I am asking on this group. If I can solve it for photoshop then the fix will probably work for both.
I am stumped, Corel was not able to help me although they tried hard.
I have reinstalled Painter several times with no change. I use a Huey pro and have rerun that several times. I tried to restore to an earlier date but was told there were no changes.
I am retired and was trained as an artist many years ago and am trying to go back to this in my old age.
Something has happened, anyone have any ideas?
