I have a bunch of picture that need to be made into 6x8s and 72dpi instead of 180dpi because they are going on a web page. How can I do all of them at once?

Start with one picture and record an action of the process.

Run a batch process on the rest.

Remember to save your originals – work on a copy.

Check your manual

Don’t concern yourself with ppi – it has no bearing on your web display, and is only for print.

One method is to use File|automate|Fit Image… so that you can define your dimensions without changing aspect ratio or having to manually crop any images to fit the 6 x 8 aspect ratio.

Because in web, I used pixel as my unit of measurement. (Just to explain why.)

Eco,

PPI still has no bearing. Pixels are your only unit of measure. You don’t need the Per Inch included since it is not relevant for web graphics.

Gplracer could save a 300×400 pixel image @ 72 PPI or 300 PPI and it will always take up 300 Pixels By 400 Pixels on the web page (unless you force it to another size in the image tag).
