I know… this isn’t the right topic for this LOL but know people here know a lot about computers, etc. I was working on a Windows 7 pc for my daughter, (taking out junk, saving stuff, she was giving it away) and playing with the screensavers on it. I still have Windows XP (which is okay with me). I put one on (hers) that has transparent bubbles floating up over whatever is on the screen. This fascinated me, so I went and found it in Windows>system 32 and copy/pasted it in mine, but even though it showed up in my screen saver options, nothing happened when I set it as one. I know, different version… I remember one of the older ones (probably 98) had a screensaver that looked like a ball rolling under whatever was on the screen at the time, or spun around and sucked the screen in. The idea of having a screensaver on whatever is on the desktop at the time, in this case clear bubbles, fascinates me.
Probably I’d have to have Windows 7 to get it to work? Or, get a flash screensaver maker program and make it myself, but even at that, I don’t see how it does it, using whatever is currently on the screen, at the same time. I’ve noticed some ads that come up are like this, they seem to float on the screen, with a transparent background, and whatever is under it shows through.
Just wondering if anyone knows how the transparent bubbles screensaver, showing whatever is under it, on the desktop, works and if I can get it to work with Win XP (in some uncomplicated way LOL)
