Hi there,

I would like to create a pdf file with simply graphics similar to the graphics in the following link.

http://www.nfc-forum.org/events/oulu_spotlight/2009_09_01_Se cure_Element_Programming.pdf

For example, Page 34. I would like to descibe the communication between a card and a reader/writer. Is there any easy-to-use tools to create simple graphics? I have no experience with photoshop, is it an easy-to-use tool for this task?

Photoshop would be expensive overkill for something this straightforward.

Why not try the drawing tools in Word if you have it or the drawing module in OpenOffice or LibreOffice if you don’t. That’s what I would use if I had just a few such diagrams to produce.

Or have a look at open source graphics applications to see if there’s something which looks more suited to your tastes/needs. At least the price is always right:

they aren’t really graphics, its a table with borders so word / excel or the free versions eg open office would do it
