Apparently there is an unresolved layer/mask problem with the patch command.
From time to time the patch will not stick – even when there is only a single layer.

Any info on this?

I don’t see how Patch & Mask have anything to do to each other.

– PATCH is the command applying directly to the current layer

– MASK is the command working *between* 2 layers

On single layer, the PATCH should work no question asked. And there can be some reason(s) it may or won’t work (correctly).

Example, if you have some area SELECTED & MARKED then it may not work outside of the selected area. I say *may not* because it depends on either TO or FROM

IOW, if you try to patch FROM outside on the selected area TO the select area then it should work. But you try to patch outside of the selected area then it won’t work.
