When you have the SFW dialogue window open you’ll see a little circle/triangle button of the farright where you can "Edit Output Settings…"
Change File Naming parameters under "Saving Files".
Robert,
Remember that spaces in filenames are illegal in HTML……..
Robert,
The settings you want to change are for "Filename Compatibility" (Output Settings -> Saving Files -> Filename Compatibility). If these files are for a web site you don’t want spaces in them anyway. You may have noticed pages every once in a while with a %20 somewhere. Well that is where someone put a space in a filename.
But they have to have spaces because the name is generated from a dbase. my urls are images/$themesel/titles/$title.gif
Fix the dbase 🙂 or not. Unchecking Filename Compatibility will fix that problem. Hopefully you don’t run into any problems with your spaces.
Robert
Be sure you test your filenames with spaces on the web server you will be using. A lot of the web will not allow spaces in filenames.
If this gives you a problem, your database folks should be able to write a program that replaces the space with a %20, which will work, as mentioned.
are you using iis robert? there’s a switch in the mts control panel somewhere to handle that, methinks. it’s been a while.
Yeah, I got it all covered…and the hyphen really want that big of a deal, just annoying having to manually rename files after SFW.
That’s the beauty of dealing with microsoft len (on so many levels). Who cares what’s illegal if you hold an illegal monopoly and can make your own rules!
