Hallo
Wenn ich im Photoshop 5.0 LE grosse Dateien verarbeite erhalte ich immer wieder die Fehlermeldung "Beim Lesen oder Schreiben der Arbeitsdatei ist der Fehler -36 aufgetreten". Dann steht mein System. Ich arbeite mit Windows XP. Kennt jemand das Problem? Bin für jeden Tipp dankbar. Gruss Hans

first, reboot your system. shut down any processes you can, including anti-virus. empty the temp directory and reinstall. or copy the photoshop folder from the disk to a new, empty folder on your desktop and run install from there.

Hans,

We’ve seen error 36 in this forum a number of times. You can do a search in the forum on that and perhaps some of the information from those posts will help you sort it out. If I recall corectly, they are hard drive issues, and you may need to run scandisk to sort it out.

Hans,

Here are some forum search results – I believe it points to a hard drive issue, but may be related to Norton AV:

Robert Blackwell™ "disk error -36" 9/10/03 11:04am </cgi-bin/webx?13/0>

Pmm "Scratch Disk vs. Norton Antivirus" 9/17/03 12:02pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/6>

YrbkMgr "ERROR "36" OR "1" …SCRATCH DISC ..IRRECOVERABLE." 9/16/03 5:49pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/6>

Chris Cox "psd image 404M/404M sent to printer gives Disc error-36" 9/4/03 8:12pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/0>

Robert Blackwell™ "XP and 6.0 question" 9/3/03 2:32pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/0>

There are more, but this should help a bit.

Peace,
Tony

Hans,

Your English is fine. You don’t have to ask in English. You will just get better results if you do. Lucky for us your English is a lot better than our German 🙂
